Barrie Jobless Rate Up A Smidge
Provincial Rate Up Slightly, National Jobless Rate Unchanged
Barrie’s jobless rate is creeping up. Statistics Canada is telling us this morning, that Barrie’s unemployment rate inched up to an unadjusted 7.9 per cent. Just a hair higher than last month, while Ontario’s jobless rate is also up a titch to 7 per cent, while the federal rate held steady at 7.1 per cent, despite the economy shedding an insignificant 21 hundred jobs.
