Barrie Man Allegedly Won’t Pay For Meal Or Debt To Society

Charges Laid After A Meal and a few Drinks

Barrie Police say a man is in custody, after giving some answers no one wanted to hear. It started at an Anne St. bar just after 5:00 yesterday; a man had a meal and some drinks before allegedly telling staff he didn’t have any money to pay. Police showed up and heard from the wait staff the same guy tried the same trick over the weekend. Officers say the guy was co-operative with the law up until it came time for him to sign release paperwork, indicating he would be skipping his court date if released by police. That lead to a few other charges against the 36-year-old man, who was released from police custody with a future court date.
