Barrie Police Seek Bank Robber On Bayfield Street

Suspect was not wearing a disguise

The Barrie Police Canine Unit and Identification officers are on scene of a hold-up this afternoon at ScotiaBank on Bayfield Street. Police say the suspect, who appeared to be in his late teens, handed a note to the teller around 4:30pm and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. He fled north from the branch past the nearby Goodwill store. He’s described as:

– 6′
– wearing a white toque with baby blue bands around it, a black ski jacket with a maroon o red t-shirt underneath, dark-coloured pants and grey shoes

No one was hurt during the robbery.
