UPDATE: Barrie Police Charge Suspected Meat Thief

Friday – Barrie Police have arrested and charged a 37-year-old woman in connection to the theft detailed below.


Monday – Barrie Police are looking for the public’s help identifying a woman suspected a several packages of meat Friday from the Loblaws store on Bayfield Street. Security video shows a woman taking several steaks from the meat counter, then casually walking through the store concealing the packages in a shopping bag. Police say no attempt was made to pay for the items. She fled after being confronted by Loss prevention staff. The suspect is described as:

  • white
  • 30-40 years
  • heavy build
  • wearing a black and white hat, white and blue Adidas hoodie, pink pants, red shoes and carrying a pink floral bag.
