Barrie Restaurant Fined Following Worker Injury

Kitchen Employee Received Severe Burns On The Job

A Barrie restaurant has been fined after a worker was hurt on the job. Kenzington Burger Bar has been handed a $50,000 fine after one of the kitchen workers received severe burns while draining oil from a deep fryer in March of last year. The Ministry of Labour says the woman’s boss should have explained the cleaning process to her, while the worker lacked the proper safety gear to perform the task in the first place.
