UPDATE: Barrie Sexual Assault Suspect Caught
Police Say Man Grabbed Woman At Wellington St. Pharmacy
Jan. 15th – A Barrie man faces a Sexual Assault charge thanks to social media. Barrie Police say reports a woman’s bottom was grabbed at a Wellington St. Shopper’s Drug Mart in late November made it onto social media. From there, officers say multiple tips came in, leading to the arrest of a 52-year-old man.
Dec. 4th – Barrie Police are on the hunt for a sexual assault suspect. Officers say a female suspect had her buttocks and genital area grabbed from behind, while waiting in line at the Wellington St. Shopper’s Drug Mart. The victim says it happened around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, and police have surveillance still images of a suspect. He is described as:
- Male, white
- Approximately 40 years old
- 6′-6’2″
- Lean build
- Dark, medium length hair
Clothing:
- Red shirt with white lettering
- Plaid, hooded jacket
- Black baseball hat with white lettering
- Jeans
