Barrie Teen Charged Over School Absences

16-year-old To Appear In Front of a Judge After They Say she Skipped School Too Much

You don’t hear of this very often: a 16 year old Barrie girl has been charged under the Education Act for habitual absence from school. This wasn’t her first experience either, the teen had been arrested for this before. She was first charged on March 8th, but police say she didn’t show up in court. Officers tracked her down on Friday, she spent the night in Barrie jail cells as a result.
