Barrie Teen’s Rap Sheet Just Got a Little Longer

Homeowner Says He Caught Suspect In His Garage

A teen has been charged… again, after police say he was caught rummaging through someone’s garage. Barrie Police got the call around 6:00 Monday night to a Jones Dr. and Nelson St. area home, where the resident said he caught a stranger in his garage. The homeowner said the guy ran when spotted, jumping over backyard fences to get away. But he apparently didn’t run far; Barrie Police say they arrested a 19-year-old man nearby, said to be under the influence of some drugs and alcohol at the time. They say the 19-year-old man was already on probation from a previous Possession of Stolen Property charge, but will add Mischief, Theft, and Breach of Probation to his rap sheet.
