Barrie Woman Charged After Cadets Lose A Lot Of $$

Police Say Woman Was Working On Behalf Of The Cadets At The Time

After a 6 month long investigation Barrie Police have located and charged a woman with theft after money was taken from the Simcoe Foresters Royal Canadian Army Cadets.
Police say the 38 year old Barrie woman had been collecting money on behalf of the organization, but apparently the money never made its way into the proper accounts.
After many attempts to locate her, she was found yesterday and charged with theft over 5-thousand. She also lost her position as treasurer with the Army Cadets. Police say in all, almost 12-thousand dollars had been collected.
