Barrie’s Bayfield St. Getting A Facelift Thanks To Province

Barrie to Share in $20m Infrastructure & Economic Growth Plan

Barrie is getting some provincial dollars to improve Bayfield Street. Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne was at Barrie City Hall this morning to announce the $675,000 in infrastructure funding, joined by transport minister Steven Del Duca. The money will be used for work on a one kilometer stretch of Bayfield, from Livingstone to the city limits. Barrie is one of 23 Ontario communities to split $20 million infrastructure dollars, part of the Connecting Links initiative to make travel safer and to stimulate economic growth.
