NBC is getting ready to produce the reboot to a very popular 90’s movie… It’s official. Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to reprise her role as Kathryn Merteuil in the revival of “Cruel Intentions.” Should the pilot get picked up, Gellar will be a series regular — in fact, she’s first on the call sheet. NBC’s “Cruel Intentions” series kicks off 15 years after the film ended, centering around Gellar’s all-grown-up Kathryn, as she vies for control of Valmont International…

Christian Slater’s father has filed a defamation lawsuit against his son over remarks he made in a 2015 interview. Thomas Knight Slater claims that Christian wrecked his acting career by alleging he is suffering from mental illness. The 80-year-old actor was married to Christian’s mom Mary Jo from 1966 to 1976. He enjoyed acting success in soap operas like Ryan’s Hope and As the World Turns, and he also had small roles in films like The Amityville Horror, and Midnight Run…

Chrissy Teigen decided she wanted her first child to be a girl, and then made sure that happened. We found out that she and husband John Legend were set to become first-time parents in October via instagram…Chrissy recently said; “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl’,” she smiled to People magazine. Chrissy goes on to say that men who have baby girls become soft and mushy, something she finds really cute.

There’s no better time to play hooky than by celebrating the 30th (yes, we’re super old) anniversary of the 80s classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. You may even want to take a few days off – and book a flight to Chicago. To mark the anniversary, the Windy City will host the three-day “Ferris Fest” from May 20-22, allowing fans to relive the nostalgia and happenings of Ferris Bueller’s event-filled day off from school. Ferris Fest will offer a host of activities, including a live re-creation of the film’s “Twist and Shout” parade sequence, and a two-day, two-part bus tour of movie locations.
