Hockey Night In Simcoe County
Nine years and things can only get better. So much so, that that organizers felt a name change was needed. Hockey Night in Barrie has grown to become Hockey Night In Simcoe County. Event organizers were at Barrie Molson Center to unveil the new and improved celebrity charity hockey tournament that will not only support RVH but also Solders Memorial Hospital in Orillia and Georgian Bay General in Midland. Money raised from the event will help develop an eight bed child and youth mental health inpatient unit and day program at Royal Victoria. The event is scheduled to take place on August 11th at the Barrie Molson Center. The name change was consistent with the the motto that the event gets “bigger and better every year”
