Another tax scam victim in the area, but she might be able to get her money back. South Simcoe Police got the call from a 62-year-old Bradford woman after she wired four grand to someone in the states, claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Service. The responding officer got there in time for the scammer to call back to find out what his wire transfer access number is; without it, he can’t access the money. Police are working with the woman and the wire service to get that coin returned. South Simcoe Police say never, ever, wire money to someone you don’t know.
