“Canada Strong” Fundraiser for Airplane Crash Victims
Show the world what it means to be Canadian
57 Canadians were killed when flight Flight PS752 crashed Wednesday January 8 shortly after taking off from Tehran’s main airport on its way to Kyiv. All 176 people on board died and, while 57 have been confirmed as Canadians, many more had connections to this country.
This tragedy has spurred Mohamad Fakih, president of Paramount Fine Foods and founder of the Fakih Foundation, to start a fundraiser called “Canada Strong” to collect funds for the victims of Flight 752.

The fundraising page on torontofoundation.ca says :
This is a time for all Canadians regardless of race or religion, to come together and show the world what it means to be Canadian.
In the coming days and weeks, the families of the 57 victims from across Canada will face a number of expenses. We are now encouraging Canadians to support the families of the victims by making a donation. With oversight from Dentons Canada LLP, all donations will flow through our supporter, Toronto Foundation, and will be granted to those affected.
