Churchill Man Charged After Dad Called The Cops

Father Says Adult Son Was Not Abiding By Bail Conditions

A Churchill man is up on charges after his dad turned him in. South Simcoe Police say they got the call from a man who says his adult son was to live at home and abide by certain conditions, following a previous criminal charge. One of those conditions was not to drink booze, but dad says his son had hit the bottle. Police arrived in time to see a moving truck leaving the driveway. Police spoke to the female driver, who denied knowing where the son was. Sounds from the back of the truck tipped police off, however, and now a 27-year-old man has been charged with Breaching Recognizance.
