Clerk Hides As Suspects Ransack Barrie Convenience Store

Employee Knew Trouble Was Coming and Hid To Call 911

Someone might have a Hide and Seek award coming their way soon. Around 3:00 yesterday morning, Barrie Police say three bandits went into an Anne St. convenience store thinking they hit the jackpot; no clerk was on duty. The suspects allegedly ransacked the place, loading up on cash, smokes, and lottery tickets, not knowing the clerk was hiding. Cops say the employee spotted the trio and the replica handgun they were carrying before they entered the store, and locked himself in back to call 911. Police arrived just as the three were leaving the store. A 38-year-old woman, and two men aged 21 and 34, now face a slew of charges.
