Collingwood Council Helping To Cover The Tab For Hospital Redevelopment

"Significant Financial Contribution" Being Made Towards G&M Improvements

Collingwood G&M could be getting a face lift, or even a whole new face. At Monday evening’s meeting of council, a resolution was passed approving a “significant financial contribution” to the redevelopment of a new regional hospital within Collingwood. Council prefers the new health centre be built at G&M’s current site, despite other communities offering land for use. General and Marine Hospital has been in Collingwood for more than 120 years.
