Driver Almost Lost His Licence and Truck In New Tecumseth
Cops Say He Was Just 2km/h Short of Street Racing Charge
A driver was charged with speeding in New Tecumseth, but was 2km/h shy of a few extra charges. Nottawasaga OPP say they clocked a dump truck hitting speeds of 108km/h in an 80 zone along 10th Sideroad of New Tec. The 27-year-old driver from Surrey, B.C., was charged with speeding, while police say if he were going just a bit faster, he’d have been charged under the province’s street racing law, which comes with an automatic licence and vehicle seizure.
