Drunk Driving Charge Laid After The Fact

A crash in Innisfil has lead to a DUI charge. Around 6:00 last night, a woman hopped in her parked vehicle on Jans Boulevard, when she was hit from behind. Police say the driver of the pickup that hit her got out, surveyed the damage, and drove off. Paramedics showed up to take the woman to hospital, as police received a call from a man wanting to report a crash. Officers went to his house, claiming he was showing signs of impairment, so the 69-year-old man was taken downtown to be charged. The woman’s injuries were not considered life threatening.
