Barrie Man Charged After Police Were Tipped Off By The Public

A Barrie man is up on charges after police got numerous calls from the public about a possible impaired driver. The calls started around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, with police looking for a suspect vehicle on the outskirts of Bradford. Callers continued updating police on the vehicle location, it was stopped in the area of the 400 and Highway 89. Police say the guy behind the wheel had a blood/alcohol reading four times the legal limit. The 33-year-old man lost his licence and his vehicle, but gained a future court date to explain his Drunk Driving charge to a judge.
