E-Cigarette Use By Young People ‘ Alarming’

Say it's fun and cool

Use of e-cigarettes by young people in Ontario is alarming says a study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. Many of the 2000 Grade 9 students surveyed said they tried them because they seem fun and cool. Those students were also more likely to be male, have tried cigarettes or have friends or family that smoke. Study authors say the findings are in line with what other research has shown about e-cigarette usage among young people and provide fresh proof that the federal government should step in to regulate e-cigarettes.
