East-End Barrie Man Charged in Child Pornography Investigation

Computer data confiscated

The Barrie Police Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E) Unit and Ontario Provincial Police Technology Crime Unit were at an east-end residence Thursday, armed with a warrant to view computers and digital media. When they were done, a 32 year old man was arrested and charged with Accessing Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography. The investigation is continuing, police hoping further analysis of computer data seized will provide more insight into the on-line activities of the accused.

The Barrie Police Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E) Unit is a partner within Ontario’s “Provincial Strategy” to protect children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the internet.
