Elderly Woman Charged After Car Ends Up On Front Lawn

Driver Sent to Hospital After Friday Night Crash

First stop for an elderly driver, the hospital; second, traffic court. Just before 9:00 Friday night, police say a vehicle lost control at the intersection of Nelson and Napier Streets in Barrie, hit a stop sign and a parked car, before coming to rest on the front lawn of a home. The 86-year-old woman at the wheel suffered minor injury in the crash, and was taken to RVH as a precaution, before being charged with careless driving.
