Enhanced Training For New Truck Drivers In Ontario

Four-to-Six Week Courses Mandatory For New Commercial Drivers As Of Next Year

New big rig drivers will have to jump through a few extra hoops before jumping behind the wheel. Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca this morning announced new commercial truck drivers in the province will have to take approved entry-level training programs before they can take tests for the Class A license. Del Duca said the four-to-six week programs will be offered through approved private career colleges. The change takes effect July 1st of next year.
