Barrie Police have a suspect in custody, purely by happenstance. An investigation started Sunday, after someone on Templeton Cres says their wallet was stolen and the cards inside were used to make a few purchases at area gas stations and convenience stores. Police were able to get surveillance footage and began looking for a suspect. Meanwhile, an officer was at an Innisfil St. residence around 11:30 Tuesday night for something totally unrelated, and just happened to recognize a guy at the home as being the one in the surveillance footage. A 31-year-old man now faces 36 Criminal Charges including Fraud and Possession of Stolen Property.
