Fatal Crash In Oro Medonte
Driver Charged After Vehicle Strikes Tree, Killing Passenger
A woman is dead and a man is facing charges after an overnight crash in Oro Medonte. OPP say a vehicle left the roadway for reasons unknown around 3:00 this morning, and struck a tree, on Warminster Road near the 11th Line. A female passenger was pronounced dead on scene, two other passengers were taken to hospital. The victim has since been identified as 20-year-old Ellen Silk of Orillia. The driver, a 20-year-old Coldwater man, will answer to charges of Dangerous and Impaired driving, and Criminal Negligence Causing Death.
