UPDATE: Victim Of Fatal Crash On Highway 89 Identified
Stretch of highway closed for several hours
MONDAY
OPP say a Barrie man was killed in Saturday’s two-car crash on Highway 89, between the 8th and 9th Line of Essa. Johannes Rybroek was 79; a 2828-year-old Innisfil man suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police say a Toyota Sienna van and a Volkswagen Golf collided head-on. The Investigation continues.
SUNDAY
A fatal two-car crash on Highway 89 west of Cookstown. OPP say it happened Saturday around 7 o’clock between the 8th and 9th Lines. Reports say one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was airlifted to hospital in Toronto. That stretch of highway was closed for several hours.
