Former Sgt-At-Arms Turned Canadian Ambassador Tackles Dublin Protestor

Kevin Vickers Helped End Ottawa Attack and Disruption at UK Ceremony

A Canadian hero is at it again. Former House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers was playing his part as new Ambassador to Ireland at a ceremony this morning, when he tackled a protester in Dublin. Vickers was attending an event commemorating British soldiers who died during clashes with Irish republicans in 1916, when a male protester surfaced and began yelling. Vickers was the first to respond, tackling the protester and getting him out of there. Vickers was hailed as a hero for his efforts in halting an attack in Ottawa in 2014.
