Freezing Rain Can Build Up On Power Lines

We Are Not Expecting Anything Bad To Happen But It Doesn't Hurt To Be Prepared

A special weather statement for the listening area could have rain and freezing rain falling.
This according to  Power Stream could result in ice on power lines and that can lead to power outages. They are not expecting any issues, but they do recommend that you be prepared, just in case. Keep a flashlight handy, along with a wind-up radio, cell phone, blankets, non perishable food items, bottled water and batteries, if necessary.  If the power does go out, never use charcoal, camping stoves or generators indoors for heat, as they produce carbon monoxide. They also advise that if you notice a downed power line, don’t touch it, they can be live.
