Friday, June 19 – Wednesday June 24 2015 Get Caught Studying

Do you have to study for exams or do homework? Why not get caught at the library and get a prize! From June 15 to June 24, get caught studying at the library and you will be rewarded! For teens in grades 7 – 12. Downtown and Painswick libraries

Friday June 19 – 20th 2015 Family Aboriginal Week Activities

Join us for some self-directed activities to start off our Aboriginal celebration week! Simple activities and trivia will be available all week. You may learn something new or have a chance to try out something you had never done before! These activities are open to all ages at Painswick and will be mostly aimed at children at Downtown. Activities will be available during library hours from June 15 – 21st. Check the Library Calendar and newsletter to learn about other programs, offered at Painswick, to celebrate this week.

Saturday, June 20, 2015 Father’s Day Crafts (Downtown)

Come to the library and make a special father’s day craft for that special Dad, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother or anyone else who means a lot to you!

Saturday, June 20, 2015 My Superhero ‘Dad’ and Me (Painswick)

Do you have someone you look up to like a Superhero? Perhaps a Superhero Dad, Grandfather, Uncle, older brother or other special person in your life? Come to the library and spend some time together to show them how much they are appreciated! We’re having some snacks and crafts you can enjoy together.

Time: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Sunday – June 21 2015 Adults – Film Program – “Hey Ho Mistahey”

Hey Ho Mistahey is the story of Shannen’s Dream, a national campaign to provide equitable access to education in safe and suitable schools for First Nations children. It is powerful and moving to see how much a teenager can accomplish with passion. From the reserve in Attawapiskat to Parliament Hill, this is a compelling journey. The subject matter will appeal to an audience range of teens to adults. The limit in the room is 60 people. No registration required. Recommended for teens and adults.

Time: 12:30 PM – 2:10 PM
