Georgian Bay Islands National Park Gets Big Payday
$1.5mil in Federal Funding
A local national park is getting a big financial boost. Parks Canada announced today, Georgian Bay Islands National Park will receive $1.5 million in federal infrastructure funding. The money will go towards visitor facilities, trail and campground maintenance, and summer staff accommodations. The Midland-area park boasts around 150 campsites and over a dozen rustic cabins for rent.
