Georgian College Seeking Downtown Barrie Campus

Georgian College is looking for some new digs downtown. The college has submitted all the required paperwork to the city, in an effort to lease up to 20,000 square feet in the downtown core. The plan is to bring some 250 Design and Visual Arts students to a new downtown space by the fall of 2017. Several years back, Georgian College reached an agreement with the City of Barrie to bring a campus to the downtown core, now the college is on the hunt for a suitable space which includes a storefront location so students’ works can be displayed.
