Go Fund Me Account for 14 Year-Old Mark Ramolla
The Community is sharing outpouring support for one of our own
Last Sunday, Feb. 16 Mark Ramolla (Marky as many called him) lost his life just ahead of his 15th birthday in a snowmobile accident.
He was well loved by many including his Barrie Minor Hockey family.
It is with deepest sadness that we share this. MARKY RAMOLLA, passed away yesterday. He was just shy of his 15th bday on Feb. 24. Marky shared a love of hockey with his team from Jr. Colts to M. Bantam. Sending deepest condolences to Lisa(mom), Mark (dad) & Emily (sister).💔 pic.twitter.com/9ruczKH8kv

“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”~Vicki Harrison.
This beautiful tribute was made by Marky’s friend, Luke Philips. Thank you for sharing this Luke!💔😪 pic.twitter.com/6miOhGY4VB— Barrie Minor Hockey (@BMHAColts) February 17, 2020
Thursday night, (Feb 20th) I was so proud to read a tribute to Marky and hold a moment of silence during a pre-game ceremony at the Barrie Colts game. Each of the Barrie Colts will be wearing Marky’s #96 on their helmets for the rest of this season.
For those that missed the pregame ceremony last night, our @OHLBarrieColts helmets will have a sticker in memory of @BMHAColts player Marky Ramolla for the rest of the 2019-20 season. Our thoughts continue to be with his family during this difficult time. #RestInPeaceMarky pic.twitter.com/yGwp8N0cEY

I couldn’t imagine what Marky’s family must be going through but out Community is doing what it can to provide some support of any costs that may be incurred.
A Go Fund Me page for the Ramolla family (found here) has a goal of $10,000. Lets help the reach it!
