Golden Globe Nominations Announced

La La Land leads with seven nominations

The nominees for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards have arrived.

LaLaLand (starring Canadian Ryan Gosling) leads the film nods with 7 nominations, including best actor and actress for Gosling and co-star Emma Stone.

On the TV side, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story tops with five, followed by The Night Manager with four.

Other notable nominations include Ryan Reynolds, who snagged a but of a surprise nomination in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Deadpool. Netflix obsession Stranger Things picked up a Best Series nomination, and Winona Rider was nominated for her role as Joyce. Standout family drama This Is Us grabbed 3 nominations as well.

The ceremony is also set to honor Meryl Streep with the Cecil B. DeMille Award. The actress, who has won eight Golden Globes and has been nominated 29 times, most recently starred with Hugh Grant in Florence Foster Jenkins

The Golden Globes will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon on January 8th.
