Grammy’s were last night… Taylor Swift wins Album of the Year….Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson pick up record of the year for “Uptown funk”…. and Ed Sheeran’s folks win for cutest parents ever. (Ed wins, song of the year for Thinking out Loud)…Kendrick Lamar was the big winner of the night taking home 5 of 11 trophies that he was nominated for… There were tributes to Lionel Richie (which wasn’t great), Luke Bryan, unfortunately jammed between John Legend, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor and Tyrese during the Lionel Richie Tribute. Eagles Glenn Frey tribute, B.B. King but hats off the Lady Gaga who stole the show with her tribute to Musical icon David Bowie…. Taylor Swift’s 1989 taking Album of the Year over Kendrick Lamar’s vastly superior To Pimp a Butterfly. As usual, the Grammys got this one wrong — as I (and countless others) knew they would.

Rihanna cancelled her performance at the Grammy Awards last night after Doctors put her on 48 hours of vocal rest because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords. The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely.” She did attend rehearsals and also walked the red carpet before leaving… Insiders tell multiple news outlets she was planning to sing Kiss Me Better at the Grammys.
Lauryn Hill was a no show last night on the Grammy stage. She was suppose to make a “Grammy Moment” with the Weeknd….Ms Hill’s reps released this statement in part; “The Grammy’s announced a performance by Ms. Lauryn Hill prematurely and without approval. Ms. Hill had concerts all weekend, leaving no time to prepare, and was uncertain she would even be able to make it to LA in time to rehearse for the event. The Weeknd still held his own with renditions of his hits “In The Night”
Taylor Swift took a little jab at Kanye West during her acceptance speech for “Album Of The Year.” Well it looks like Taylor Swift definitely heard the lyrics on Kanye West’s new song “Famous,” where Ye spits “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous,” and she’s not happy about it either. During her acceptance speech at Monday night’s Grammy’s for “Album Of The Year” with 1989, Taylor decided to “speak to the women” but direct her words towards Kanye.

With Gwen Stefani pursuing a solo career and Blake Shelton, No Doubt has replaced Gwen with a male singer, Davey Havok. The other members of No Doubt (her ex-bf from her teen years, the guy in the diaper, and the…there’s another dude right? He’s tall?) finally admitted to themselves what the rest of us have known since the mid-90s. Gwen ain’t ever coming back to them…. Yeah, they’ve replaced their female lead singer with a dude. His name is Davey Havok, and he’s normally fronting a band called AFI.
