The biggest stars in entertainment and pop culture were all out for the 2016 People’s Choice Awards last night… One of the night’s most memorable moments took place when Vin Diesel paid tribute to his late friend and fellow Furious 7 actor Paul Walker as Diesel claimed two top prizes for the film. An uninvited stage crasher interrupted an acceptance speech by hosts of daytime TV’s The Talk. The ladies were not pleased. For those that like the lighter side of awards shows, there was a little something for you, including a Dakota Johnson wardrobe malfunction and an appearance by Chris Hemsworth’s abs thanks to Ellen… The funniest moment of the evening easily when Jane Lynch gave an award to Tom Lennon and than she informed him that he was the 1st runner up and out comes… Miss Colombia….
Star Wars has officially become North America’s biggest box office hit of all-time. We were just waiting for Star Wars: The Force Awakens to pass the $760.5 million Avatar record which it did as of yesterday! Now making the new sci-fi blockbuster the biggest money-maker at the North American box office. Internationally, The Force Awakens has pulled in over $800 million since it opened on December 17, racking up a global total of well over $1.5 billion, becoming the fastest movie in history to hit that number. It currently ranks as the fourth-biggest movie of all time internationally, and it will open in China this weekend.
The future king of England started pre-school yesterday! Prince William and his wife Kate marked the occasion by releasing two photographs of two-and-a-half-year-old George outside the school building. The royal couple had earlier announced he would be attending Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk, 110 miles (180 kilometres) north of London.
