Horses Euthanized, Woman Charged After Police Called To Essa Farm
Neglected and in extreme pain
A 44 year old Markham woman has been charged with Animal Cruelty and Mischief after two horses at a farm in Essa had to be euthanized. OPP were called to the farm Sunday after calls about the health and well-being of the horses. A veterinarian, specializing in the care of horses was also called in. It was determined both horses had been neglected for some time and were in extreme pain.
