Hundred Grand Donation To Benefit Youth Mental Health Across The Region

Waypoint Centre and TAY SoS At Cheque Presentation Ceremony

An oversized cheque for $100,000 was presented at Simcoe County HQ today, benefiting over three dozen mental health organizations across the region. Representatives of RBC were at the County office this morning to present a $100,000 cheque to the Transitional Age Youth System of Supports. The TAY SoS is a network of 43 organizations, designed to give youth struggling with mental health issues the best possible transition to adulthood. One of those organizations is Catulpa Community Services in Barrie, and its Program Supervisor Carolyn Walsh says the hundred grand can do good things to strengthen that network.

She adds the money will help them trim some fat too.

Waypoint Centre for Mental Health in Penetanguishene is the lead agency for the TAY SoS, and will help oversee where the money goes.
