Owner Could Be On The Hook For Fine, Cleanup Costs
A boating hazard for you to be aware of here. Authorities say they were out on Lake Simcoe this morning, to retrieve an ice fishing hut found floating about 300m off Gilford Road in Innisfil. This is well past the Marc 15th deadline to remove ice fishing huts from Lake Simcoe, and if the Ministry of Natural Resources figures out who it belongs to, the owner could face a fine and cleanup costs.
