International Investigation Leads To $12mil Cocaine Seizure

Over $140 Grand in Guns Also Seized

Thirteen people have been charged following a cross border investigation into a drug and gun smuggling ring. OPP say contraband was being smuggled into Toronto from points in Florida as well as South American nations such as St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, before being shipped off to Newfoundland. At a media conference this morning, law enforcement said this investigation lead to 48 charges laid, and over $12 million in cocaine seized. Over $140,000 in weapons were also taken into police custody.
