Bridging the gender parity gap

It is International Women’s Day. A couple of events happening in Barrie to mark it. The first at 4pm at Sunndiale Park – a walk from the Dorion Parker Centre to the Sunnidale Bridge and back. It’s a symbolic walk, to bridge the gender parity gap. Participants are asked to wear yellow, which symbolizes optimism, hope and friendship. The second event is sponsored by the Women and Children’s Shelter. It’s at the ANAF Hall at 6pm
