UPDATE: Investigation Into Plane Crash That Kills One, Victim Identified
The engine caught fire
October 30th – The OPP have identified the man killed in a aircraft crash earlier this month as 52-year-old David Coffey of New Tecumseth. The Transportation Safety Board is continuing with the investigation.
October 18th – Police say the pilot of a downed plane looked like he was attempting to land before he struck some hydro wires and crashed. OPP say the plane went down just before 3:30 yesterday afternoon near Beeton in a wooded area. One witness says he heard the plane having engine troubles. The Transportation Safety Board is being brought in to continue the investigation. Police say the lone occupant of the plane was killed in the crash.
