It’s a Monster, But Not From Loch Ness

Fossilized remains on display in Scotland

It may not be Nessie, but it is a monster of a fish. Scottish officials have unveiled the fossilized remains of the Storr Loch Monster – a dolphin-like creature with hundreds of razor sharp teeth that lived 170 million years ago. The fossil was discovered 50 years ago in southern Skye, much of it embedded in rock. It was only recently removed from the rock in about 140 pieces. Click here to read more on this story.
