Japanese Theme Park Says It Will Remove Frozen Fish From Ice Rink
Thought it would be decorative effect
An ice rink at a Japanese theme park has been closed after a huge public backlash. Five-thousand fish, crabs and other shellfish had been embedded in the ice as part of a special winter attraction called “Freezing Port” at Japan’s Space World theme park. The says the fish and shellfish had been purchased at a local market and were dead before being frozen into the ice. Still, the outrage on social media has been huge. Space World has apologized, says it will remove the creatures from the ice and hold a memorial service for them.
