In a press conference Thursday, the latin ladies say the show will pay homage to latin culture, promising a joint performance that has an empowering message. The ladies also promise a high energy, entertaining, heartfelt performance….
Lopez noted that the two teams in the big game are both run by women and that two women are headlining the halftime show for the first time. “Two Latinas, doing this in this country at this time, it’s just very empowering for us,” said Lopez.
In addition to the girl power performance, there will also be a tribute to Kobe. Lopez said there will be a “heartfelt” moment, and Shakira added,
“We’ll all be remembering Kobe on Sunday and celebrating life and diversity in this country.”
