A few months ago we brought you the very exciting news that a remake of “MacGyver” was in the works…. The role of MacGyver goes to Lucas Till from X-Men…. Also newly cast as a series regular in the pilot is Joshua Boone, who will play Gunner, MacGyver’s best friend from high school.

The 2012 winner of the Bravo TV show “Top Chef” has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend in Texas. Austin police say Paul Qui (kee) was arrested Saturday morning on misdemeanour charges of unlawful restraint and of assault causing injury-family violence. According to an arrest affidavit, Qui’s girlfriend says he prevented her from leaving an apartment with her child by pushing her and throwing her against walls, doors and furniture. Qui told police he “only was grabbing and holding her.”

So Hulk Hogan was awarded another $25.1 million as punitive damages yesterday. That is added to the $115 million he won on Friday in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker.  Gawker liable for $15 million of that while the publisher Nick Denton is liable for $10 million. It is VERY likely Gawker will come back with an appeal.

A group of women are suing a Kardashian-approved waist trainer company for promising results that their product has not delivered. The women who filed the lawsuit alleging that the Waist Gang Society’s Reshaping Waistshaper is a sham. Or as TMZ so artfully puts it, the plaintiffs “say they got burned but their fat didn’t.” Meanwhile, the brand’s “Health Tips” section contains tons of photos of Kim and Khloe Kardashian wearing its trainers.

According to Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy (Sheldon’s Girlfriend) in the Big Bang Theory, that cast is really overpaid. Yep. She is certainly never afraid to say how she feels… even if she bites the hand that feeds her. That cast is the highest-earning on TV right now. Specifically Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco who are estimated to bring home around $30 million each year from salaries and other deals. Mayim has admitted that they are overpaid, but kinda said it in a nice say, adding that all actors are. (New York Daily News)
