Kanye West will perform at the closing ceremonies of the Pan Am Games, despite the online petition by Canuks to stop the performance. The main problem? Disney is developing Genies, an adventure comedy set before the events of the 1992 classic (which won two Oscars and was nominated for three others). So it’s story about a magical genie (sadly not voiced by Robin Williams) that ends with the beloved hero being enslaved for 10,000 years? Could the movie get any more depressing?
