Keeping Cats In Check At Wasaga Beach

Town offering incentive to get pets spayed or neutered

The Town of Wasaga Beach has become the third community in the Georgian Triangle to offer financial assistance to residents to have their cats spayed or neutered. Georgian Triangle Humane Society officials say it also helps contribute to a longer life for cats, calmer cats with an increased contentment to stay at home, prevention of litters of kittens that are not planned or desired and, decreasing the number of homeless and unwanted cats being received by the GTHS. The program will provide financial assistance to residents to have their cats spayed or neutered, based on eligibility criteria.
