It took nearly eight hours to clear a 40-car pile-up yesterday afternoon NB Highway 400 at Aurora Road. Sixteen people were treated for injuries at the scene, nine others were taken to hospital. The roadway was slick with snow and ice at the time.


Barrie Police are looking for 22 year old Ryeleigh Barnes in connection with a  stabbing Saturday afternoon on Worsley Street.  A man in his 40s suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was stabbed in the abdomen.


Special brush collection begins today in south Simcoe County to remove debris from the ice storm two weeks ago. Bundles should be placed at the roadside. Click here for details.

A study from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and University of Waterloo has found more teens are gambling online than previously thought; mostly males, mostly on online sports betting, though they are often on poker sites and gambling games on Facebook.
