This weekend we’re counting down the “Koolest” songs of summer. It was hard to select just three, but here are my favourite summertime musical throwbacks:
Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!! by the Vengaboys
Released in June of 1999, this song by Dutch dance group Vengaboys quickly shot up to #1 in the UK, before taking over the charts in North America too!
Turn Me On by Kevin Lyttle
Originally released as a Soca song in 2001, it was remixed as a dance hit for US release. “Turn Me On” became a hit across the globe, making the top 10 in fifteen countries.
Boombastic by Shaggy
Released in 1995 on his third studio album, Boombastic soon became a chart-topper worldwide.
